KOS

This week we've been learning how to keep ourselves safe. We had 2 visits from  Constable Jenny who was well impressed with what Room 19 children knew about how to be safe, and what is ok and what is not.

Measuring

Today we measured a buddy in class using string and attached our face to it. We will keep this string until the end of the year and then measure ourselves again to see how much we've grown. We also put ourselves in order from tallest to shortest and checked our string to see if it reflected this order.
I wonder who will grow the most in the school year?

Harling Park Fun!

We had a great time at Harling Park, getting some inspiration for our writing. We also found some amazing cicada shells,  if you come into Room 19 you can read our poems and see some of the shells we collected.

Stadium fun

What a great 4 days we had at the stadium. Lots of new skills developed and new things learnt! It was neat to see the children work with different people in the punga team and make some new friends.

Congratulations to Fletcher, Jayden and Aliana who were in the winning team. This team displayed great team work, followed instructions well, were polite and were super listeners. Ka pai guys, hope you are proud of yourselves.

Gala

On Friday we helped Mrs Robertson by decorating some bikes for a fun new stall we will be having at the Gala. For the first time we will have a crazy bike stall.
We tried to make the bikes look colourful and crazy, whilst some of us were painting signs. Hopefully on gala day (next Sunday) you come along and ride one of the crazy bikes!
