Wala Show

We had a great time at the Wala Show this morning. We learnt some dances and songs from Ghana, and some of us got to play the instruments too!

Assembly

We are presenting an item at assembly this Friday. We hope to see you there to watch your child if you can make it. 2.30pm in the usual place. 😊

Ivy's new sister!

Congratulations to Ivy and her whanau on the birth of baby Joy! Mrs Robertson and Miss Z look forward to cuddling Joy. We can't wait until she comes to visit us in Room 19!

Tangram Time!

We had some fun with geometric shapes today! A Tangram is made up from 7 geometric shapes which can form a square when put together correctly. We made animal shapes with ours! Can you spot a horse, rabbit, fish, cat or a dog? 

Punga Syndicates fabulous readers!

Wow, so many children from the Punga Syndicate have been putting in an amazing effort with their home reading. We have been giving out a lot of reading certificates at Punga Hui. 

Keep up the awesome effort children... You are all improving so much with your reading from all that practice!

Room19 Sharks!

A great day for the Sharks, winning their first game 4-0. Yippee!

Autumn Leaves!

We had a great time this morning, throwing leaves around and running through piles of them! Keep an eye out for our Autumn writing and art......

Shapes

In Maths at present we are learning all about 2D shapes. Today we were looking at how to describe shapes by their properties. The object of the game we played was for one person to have a shape picture in front of them and to describe the shapes (not using their names) that they'd  used so their buddy who was sitting back to back with them could make the same picture. 

We learnt this only worked if we carefully described the shapes we'd used and gave good instructions on where to put them.

Big buddy fun!

Today we met up with our buddies on this glorious Autumn day to fly rocket balloons. They were soooo hard to blow up, our buddies had to help us. We had such fun letting them go and watching them zoom about.

We even got to take our rocket balloon home. Thanks buddies, we had an awesome time with you today!

Obstacle Course

We had so much fun this morning! We ran, jumped, climbed, crawled and skipped our way around the obstacle course that Room 15 had designed.Thanks Mrs Herdman, for sharing this course with us!
